Why a 5-day course?
DB Training specifically chooses to run this course over five days unlike other providers who attempt to cram too much information into just three days - we do not 'speed-train'.
We feel that it is impossible to comprehensively deliver all aspects of the course, giving attention to the subject core issues and practical training by cramming it into just three days. Our students benefit greatly from the 2 extra days dedicated to ‘hands-on’ practical training – a truly fundamental part of the course. We know that any reduction in this aspect of the course would be cheating our students out of an invaluable skill building opportunity.

Practical Training
During the course you will go through a series of practical training elements that are specifically designed to assist you in being professionally competent.
The practical sessions include an Energy Assessment carried out on a flat, a mid-terraced house and a complex 4-bed semi-detached house. All of the properties chosen have been specifically selected due to the “hidden and testing” elements that enable students to gain a greater degree of confidence in readiness for a professional career.
This includes:
- Health & Safety demonstration
- Component demonstration
- Home Inspections in small groups
- Short tests
- Software demonstration
- Data input tests
All training packages include:
- Registration and examination fees – including 1 re-sit
- RDSAP software training and RDSAP training account
- Virtual and real EPC training
- Practical training
- 3 EPC’s during course – of which 2 can go towards your portfolio of evidence
- Online multiple choice exam
- Direct access to assessors
- Fast-tracked portfolio
- Portfolio assessment by qualified assessors
What We Don't Do...
- Crowd out class rooms with 25-30 students
- Take 15 students on a Home Inspection at the same time
