Apprenticeships
With the current economic climate, apprenticeships are a valuable way of developing staffs’ skills and ensuring a more motivated workforce. Find out how an additional, well trained pair of hands could make a world of difference to your performance in a way which is more affordable than you might expect. Not only do your people learn while they’re on the job, so they are immediately productive.
DB Training is setting the standards for a new generation of training providers. The innovative and unique delivery methods established by its management team, focus entirely on the learner’s experience and its relevancy to their career.
Having first delivered apprenticeships in 2008, DB Training are now one of the most successful apprenticeship providers in the UK. By delivering a range of practical courses that complement an apprenticeship we ensure that each individual not only has the appropriate qualifications, but a range of relevant skills that make them eminently employable. Each practical course focuses on a range of new skills that ensure long-term employment and influence within an individual’s chosen profession.
What is an apprenticeship?
An apprenticeship is a nationally recognised training programme combining real work with learning and training, both on and off the job. An apprentice will receive a wage, whilst training and working towards the full apprenticeship.
What makes up an apprenticeship?
An apprenticeship programme consists of a number of component parts. Through the programme an apprentice will develop and demonstrate their knowledge and skills and prove their occupational competence whilst also demonstrating that they have met the standards in key skill areas such as numeracy, literacy and communication. The remaining part of the apprenticeship is being aware of, and having an understanding of employment rights and responsibilities. Whilst these individual parts may be assessed separately, only when all parts are successfully achieved will an apprentice receive an apprenticeship certificate.
